American Fireglass is tumbled and safe to touch. Never sharp and guaranteed never to burn or change color. No messy cleanup and no soot! The two types of American Fireglass available are regular "fireglass", which is tempered glass and can be used as a filler or on top, and "accent fireglass", which is actually recycled glass and is designed to be used as topping glass. The topping glass offers brighter colors and unlike some of the competition who use stained glass that melts at 600 degrees, our recycled, topping glass won't melt until 1800 degrees! Some regular fireplaces will reach 600 but we haven't found one yet that will reach 1800!

You can use all fill glass in your fireplace or fire pit or you can use mostly fill glass and then maybe 2-5 pounds of topping glass. The average customer uses 95% fill glass and 5% topping glass.
